Concept to completion: 3 Weeks
Previously we had constructed a porcelain paved patio using plank-style paving to create an entertaining area for one of our customers. Recently the customer wished to add to the garden by replacing dated existing patio areas, the paving choice was an easy decision to make as it was to be the same as the porcelain plank paving used the in the previous project.
Excavation was relatively simple as both patios were to be laid on existing foundations with edging kerbs already in place. To support the design from the previous works the circular patio was laid at a 45 degree angle. Due to this pattern requiring many precise cuts, a wet cutting saw was used to achieve clean lines.
The garden was completed with stepping stones to connect the patios, these were created by halving the porcelain planks with a wet cutting bridge saw to create 600mm x 300mm stepping stones. The gravel area was topped up with additional gravel to freshen up the garden. To add a quirky finish the customer placed colourful pots full of plants and solar powered lights.
